OUR PURPOSE

The purpose of the Florida Dairy Goat Association is to promote the Dairy Goat and it’s products in a positive and productive manner through a cooperative and educational statewide club.

Dairy goats are the ideal family dairy animal

They are small, alert, intelligent, and easily handled.

Kept on even the smallest of properties, goats return the cost of their feed in economically produced, delicious, and nutritious milk.

Loving and very social animals, goats quickly learn their names will readily answer when called, and thrive on love, attention, and good care.

To join or renew Memberships, Go to our Join page.

Memberships run from January 1st through December 31st.

We have an election coming up 12/15/23

We have two board positions to fill.

These positions will start January 1 2024 and run through June 30 2025.

The board requires active participation in quarterly meetings and events. This can mean many things even if you are unable to attend events in person. We need hands not just voices.

We have already received several letters of intent to run for these positions which you can see posted on FDGA News on Facebook and posted here on the Election Page

The board positions are open to all members with active membership as of September 1 2023.

If there are any other members that would like to run, please send your letter of intent, to FDGA news on Facebook, and/or via messenger to the President Korinne Johnson so it can be posted. Letters may also be submitted via email directly to FDGA.

On December 1 the current board will compile the list of names from the letters submitted by members.

Members will vote for 2 for director.

Ballots will be sent out via email using a private link to vote anonymously to all current 2023 members on December 15 and will close December 20.

The ballot will also include a vote to increase membership fees from $20 to either $25 or $30 per year.
